Bublu entered the EMIL Program to update her academic supply chain knowledge with new understanding of how the world is developing in terms of infrastructure, policy and technology. "The perspective EMIL has given me would have been impossible to gain in a regular MBA program," she states. The biggest difference according to Bublu? The combination of high-powered professionals in her EMIL class and the opportunity to see, firsthand, supply chain innovations worldwide. As the first HP executive to participate in EMIL, Bublu has set a company precedent. "Now HP sends two supply chain execs to the program each year."

Q. How has EMIL impacted your career or position?

A I have always worked in the area of supply chain innovation at HP. But since graduating from EMIL my visibility, credibility and influence within the company has clearly increased – and my projects are receiving strong sponsorship from our executive team as a result.

Q. Do you still benefit from your EMIL participation?

A. The EMIL alumni network remains a continuous resource for me, both for benchmarking and for ongoing intellectual exchange. Staying in touch with my fellow EMIL grads has kept the learning going all these years.
